Depression

Depression can occur for a variety of reasons and is beyond just feeling sad or unhappy.  Not everyone who is depressed experiences depression the same.  It can cause symptoms that affect how you think, feel, and handle every day activities.  Depression can feel lonely and isolating, leaving you feeling discouraged and hopeless at times.  It may also have an effect that increases irritability, feeling stuck, feeling numb or lost, and can lead to crying often, unable to identify the reason.  Depression can negatively affect your relationships with others, but more importantly, the way you connect with yourself.  It may feel like an obstacle to truly enjoying life and happiness.
