Athletic Performance and Recovery
When an athlete experiences physical injury, many stories and emotions can come with it, including overwhelm, fear, disappointment, frustration, and questioning if fully returning to 100% from this injury is possible. Identity as an athlete often depends on your body functioning at its peak performance, having confidence, connection and listening to your body, and prioritizing recovery. My practice works with acute and chronic physical injuries, focusing on inflammation, the nervous system, and emotionally stuck traumatic material that prevents your body from fully healing. Every athlete hopes to get back to 100% functioning after an injury. The techniques used in session focus on identifying, processing, and releasing mental, physical, and emotional blocks that hinder peak performance.
My practice blends advanced Brainspotting protocols, somatic (body) work, parts work, mindfulness, and movement, offering a comprehensive approach to addressing complex or recent trauma. These techniques treat both acute and lasting effects of physical injury and mental blocks when returning to movement after injury. You can expect lasting results after only a few sessions.
When it comes to healing after injury, finding the right therapeutic fit is essential. As an athlete, I understand firsthand the ups and downs of the role that the mind and body play in performance, especially after injury. My personal journey as an athlete, with both a trauma history and significant injury recovery, fuels my hope and passion for enhancing the quality of life for clients who utilize movement as a part of every day life. My ultimate aspiration for each client is to foster authentic, lasting connections, facilitate long-term healing, and guide athletes toward their peak performance.
