EMDR:  Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a dynamic therapeutic approach in the field of psychotherapy for people who suffer from various forms of trauma. It has been an empirically based method of therapy in treating not only trauma, but also anxiety, depression, phobias, addictions, panic attacks, dissociation, self-esteem, and many more identified areas for 27 years and counting.  This approach works to accelerate the healing process of trauma and other life difficulties.  EMDR involves eight phases.  Each phase is crucial in the process of moving toward emotional health and will be explained thoroughly before beginning to ensure your comfort in beginning trauma work with EMDR.
